Review: Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I received few weeks ago the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara from Influenster Middle East, and I was so excited to try it, you have no idea.

You should know that I’ve never been a high-end mascara kinda girl, I’ve purchased few, but I’ve never felt the need to repurchase any of them until now.

At first I was like: “Ahh, it’s alright… I like it, but it’s just as good as my favorite drugstore mascara, so whatever!”

But then, I realized I wasn’t being able to put it down, everyday I was reaching for it, so I decided to compare it with my favorite drugstore one, the L’Oreal “Paradise Extatic” mascara, and I’ve noticed few major differences: my lashes looks way more voluminous and it’s so much easier to remove, so I understood that the Velvet Noir Mascara came to stay.

I like to apply only two coats otherwise it’s starts to look a little bit clump, and I don’t really like this effect.

It’s basically everything I look for in a mascara, except for the price:

  • Give me the right amount of length;
  • Volume, give me that fluffy lash effect that I absolute love;
  • Doesn’t smudge on me, stays put all day long;
  • Very Pigmented;
  • Easy to remove with an oil based makeup remover.

So… yeah, surely when this one is finished I will purchase a new one!

The Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara retails for AED 145 at Sephora Middle East and my favorite drugstore mascara , at the moment, for AED 83 on Amazon, I really enjoy both of them, but if you are looking for a new high-end mascara, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Find bellow the Before and After:

It looks great, right?!

Now, I’d love to know… What’s your favorite mascara?

See you on my next post, byeeee!
