Review: Mark Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

Hello, hello beautiful people, how are you guys doing?

I received few weeks ago the Mark Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara from Influenster Middle East, and I was so excited to try it, you have no idea.

BUT, I have to say… I’ve never been a high end mascara kinda girl, I’ve purchased few times, but I’ve never felt the need to repurchase any of them. This was honestly the only one that since I’ve tried I couldn’t put it down.

At first I was like: “Ahh, it’s good, I like it but it’s just as good as my favorite drugstore mascara!” so I decided to put it to test and noticed few major differences: how fluffy my lashes looked and how easy is to remove the Velvet Noir, I like to apply only two coats otherwise it’s starts to clump a little bit and I don’t like this effect.

Basically it is everything I look for in a mascara:

  • Give me the right amount of length;
  • Volume, give me that fluffy lash effect that I absolute love;
  • Doesn’t smudge on me, stays put all day long;
  • Very Pigmented;
  • Easy to remove with an oil based makeup remover.

So… yeah, when this one is finished I’d most likely purchase a new one!

The Mark Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara retails for 140 AED at Sephora Middle East and my favorite drugstore mascara (at the moment) for 83 AED at Wojooh, I really enjoy both of them, but if you are looking for a new high end mascara, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Find bellow the Before and After:

It looks great, right?!

And if you want to see how I apply it and how does it look through out the day you can check the review on my Youtube Channel where I show it:

Now, I’d love to know… What’s your favorite mascara?
